The Introductions Evening is a private gathering, hosted by The Courtship Bureau, that brings together a small and carefully chosen group of vetted, marriage-minded people for an evening of genuine conversation.
It is not a party, and it is certainly not a crowded room of strangers. It is a considered occasion — a calm, well-composed setting, a balanced group, and the quiet possibility that the person across from you is someone worth knowing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Every guest at an Introductions Evening has been verified beforehand. Each has spoken with us, and each is there for the same reason: to meet someone, genuinely, with marriage in mind.
The evening is structured to make real conversation easy. Rather than leaving connection to chance, we guide the evening gently — so that, over its course, you will have the opportunity to meet and speak with each person present, unhurried and without awkwardness. There is no pressure, no performance, and no expectation beyond an open and honest evening.
Some guests leave having met someone who interests them. Others leave without that spark — and for them, the evening becomes a natural first step toward membership, and an introduction made with even greater care.
WHO YOU WILL MEET
The single thing that sets an Introductions Evening apart is who is not there.
There are no pretenders. No one who has misrepresented themselves. No one present for anything other than a serious intention to marry. Every guest has been identity-verified and considered by The Courtship Bureau before receiving their invitation, and the group is composed with balance and care.
You may arrive, in other words, knowing that everyone in the room has been vetted as carefully as you have — and is there for precisely the same reason.
OUR FIRST EVENING
The Introductions Evening — Calgary, 2026.
The Courtship Bureau’s very first Introductions Evening will be held in Calgary. It will be an intimate gathering, deliberately limited in size, so that the evening remains considered and the group remains balanced.
