No. There is no app, no profile to browse, and no swiping. The Courtship Bureau is a human-led matchmaking service. A real matchmaker meets you, comes to understand you, and introduces you — by hand — to someone chosen with intention.
It is for marriage-minded people who are genuine, serious, and ready to find a life partner — and who want to be introduced properly rather than left to chance. Our members are often accomplished professionals; what they share is not a background, but an intention.
The Courtship Bureau is based in Alberta and is opening to serious members across Canada. Many people are willing to move for the right person, and a wider membership means a richer, more considered pool of introductions.
No — and we would be wary of anyone who did. What we promise is genuine care, real intention, careful vetting, and a matchmaker committed to your search. We promise how we will work, not an outcome we cannot honestly control.
ABOUT BECOMING A MEMBER
It begins with a short request through this site, or a note to us directly. A matchmaker then arranges an unhurried first conversation. From there, should it feel right for both of us, we move forward together. You can read the full path on our How It Begins page.
Our pricing is published openly — every tier, every figure — on our Membership page. We do not hide our prices or require a call to disclose them.
Because seriousness must be true on both sides of every introduction. A membership fee, alongside vetting, is part of how we ensure that everyone in our care is genuinely committed. It is also what allows us to verify and serve every member properly.
Yes. Every membership is available either as a single payment or as a monthly plan. The details are discussed openly with your matchmaker, so you can choose what suits you best.

The Courtship Bureau is new, and we will always be honest about that. We are building our membership deliberately — because the quality of every introduction depends on the quality of the people in the room. We would rather begin carefully than begin with volume. If you are serious and ready, you are exactly who we are looking for at this stage.
It happens, and it is not a failure — yours or ours. Not every introduction leads somewhere, and we would never suggest otherwise. What we promise is that every introduction is made with genuine care and real intention. If the introductions within your membership do not produce a connection, we will have an honest conversation with you about what we have learned, what that means for your search, and what the right next step might be.
Most matchmaking services are positioned as luxury — premium priced, deliberately exclusive, and opaque about what they charge. We are built differently. Our prices are published openly. Our vetting is rigorous on both sides. And we are here specifically for accomplished, marriage-minded people who have been failed by the alternatives — not for a wealthy few who simply want a concierge experience. The difference is not just in what we do. It is in who we built this for, and why.
ABOUT PRIVACY & VETTING
Yes — completely. The Courtship Bureau holds no public profiles. Your name, your story, and your details are never shared without your knowledge, and never sold or disclosed to anyone. Discretion is the foundation of everything we do.
Every member, on both sides of every introduction, is identity-verified and background-checked before they are introduced to anyone. It is how we ensure that the people you meet through us are exactly who they say they are, and here for the same reason you are.
No. You are never revealed to another member without your knowledge and agreement. An introduction is always a considered, mutual step — never a surprise.
MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT & FAQS
The Courtship Bureau is committed to thoughtful, compatible introductions rather than volume. While we actively search for and assess potential matches throughout your membership, introductions and relationship outcomes cannot be guaranteed. We will never facilitate an introduction solely to satisfy a numerical target.
ABOUT THE INTRODUCTIONS EVENING

No. An Introductions Evening is open to anyone who has been verified beforehand. For many, the evening is their first experience of The Courtship Bureau, and a natural first step toward membership.
